Tree

Tree

Remembering the past it pains
Thinking of the future it pains
Living in this moment pains.
Memory of the past is painful
When one recognizes stagnation
Glimpse of the future is painful
When one visualizes stagnation
Living in this moment pains
When one recognizes emptiness.
Pain is no pain when it contributes
To future gain
Clay moulded into jars and cups
Pencils sharpened.
Drops of rain falls down
A baby falls down
Yet all finds joy at the end.
 Memories are painful for thoughtless
Memories are painful for victims
Memories are painful for losers
Memories are painful for rejected
Memories are painful for ambitious
Though the memories are painful for many
Yet many others cherish memories
They are not winners and thoughtful always
But they acknowledge their mistakes of the past.
To gain from future, to turn the sorrow into joy
They keep smiling happily
Rejoicing while
The rest mourns with long faces with gloomy eyes
Choice is mine well as yours
Just like a tree never saddened by its fate.
 Cut the branches
You get branches four times more
Uproot it, yet it sprouts
Use your crooked ideas, yet it sprouts
Deep thirst to live, over shadows everything else
Learn from the tree it is committed to live.
So faithful to its duties
Never counts the blessings it caused
Never loved to feel proud of beneficiaries
Friend or foe receives love in the same way
Friend of foe receives fruit in the same way
Give shade and coolness and warmth even to the woodcutter
Teachings of the master bloomed full in her.
Tree grew where it was thrown,
Ate by animals
Cut by men
Yet it lived, to bloom and yield
It believed yielding is meaning
So it lived to bloom
It bloomed not once or twice
But until the day a huge hand
Took away all its soil
Yet it lived, hanging on a few roots,
And it yielded again.
Challenging everyone who feels saddened by their fate
Who is heartbroken by misfortunes?
Who has thrown away life like a tissue paper?
You arise and throw
It will bloom again
When you have thrown it
But, will you?
