Growth

I am eager to grow beyond all horizons

It’s the need of the time, it’s the right time

Only a troubled sea makes a skilled sailor

Growth is joy; growth is actualization of my potential

I started to grow, not in the way I wished, not in the way I wanted

I grew slowly at sometimes but rapidly most of the times

Then it happened. My growth came to a standstill.

I didn’t grow anymore as I wished

Someone said to me I would help you to grow

I accepted his way, willingly, happily and cheerfully.

He led me to an unknown place

He started to teach me. I protested. I revolted.

I threw stones at him.

It’s not the growth I require I said. Demands are too high.

Help‘s too little. Time is short.

He consoled me. He smiled at me. He spoke to me in a soft voice.

I know you. You want to grow. Go through it with the similar erstwhile joy, you will grow.

My potential knew no bounds

It is my pleasure to grow

But I do not want to listen

I do not want to pay the prize

Clay gets moulded

A stone gets sharpened

They are rejected role models

Still, I need growth beyond all limits

Tell me how I shall grow without

Paying the prize?

I am stingy to pay any prize

I am too confident to receive anything

Tell me how shall I grow?

Finally, it began once again slowly, and steadily

It lightened whole of my being

I realized growth as I bow my head

To grow, the more I grew

Growth is not upward or side ways

Growth is not going above the head of others

Growth is going into the midst of other

Growth is a process of walking with the other.

Let’s hold our hands together

To grow beyond our limits

Our potential knows no boundaries

Let’s break all barriers with holding hands.
